Sadio Mane’s pending transfer from Liverpool to Bayern Munich was branded “crazy” by a former teammate as the Red Devils turned down the chance to bring in three midfielders

Liverpool have offered the chance to bring in Youri Tielemans, Kalvin Phillips and Yves Bissouma this summer over fears the moves will wreak havoc on their pay structures.
The Red Devils were linked with a move for Aurelien Tchouameni early in the summer before the Frenchman completed his move Real Madrid and Jurgen Klopp is said to be keen on bringing in a new midfielder. But after missing out on the former AS Monaco man, Liverpool now appear willing to wait their time to recruit new midfield options before potentially transferring Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham next year.
It comes as Sadio Mane’s imminent move to Bayern Munich has been called “crazy” with former Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius. And Raheem Sterling took to the field to prove he’s learned from his ‘disappointing’ Liverpool transfer defeat.
This is Mirror Football’s latest Liverpool titles.
Red Devils refuse three transfer options
Liverpool are said to be “ready to give up” deals to sign Youri Tielemans, Kalvin Phillips and Yves Bissouma this summer although they are considered relatively “easy” to complete.
The Red Devils are said to have turned down those offers as they do not want to add new players who will start at the higher end of the salary structure. And the club’s hierarchy has agreed that no end can be put in place if game-changing acquisitions cannot be made.
And that means the club are holding a major auction for Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham next summer.
Mane moves “crazy”
Sadio Mane’s move to Bayern Munich has been called “crazy” by former Liverpool team-mate Loris Karius.
The striker is expected to move to the Bundesliga champions this week for £35.1m with the Senegal international in Germany to complete his switch. The Red Devils decided to sell after failing to agree a new contract with Mane, who has just one year left on his contract at Anfield.
And Karius says the move would be “crazy” for Bayern as they already have one of the “top players” at Liverpool.
Sterling’s Reds transfer failed
Raheem Sterling is determined to handle City of Manchester better departure than he did when he left Liverpool.
The forward could be set to leave City this summer with Premier League competitor Chelsea is said to be interested in acquiring his services. But Sterling has previously revealed how “disappointed” he is with the way the move has played out.
And Chelsea could be a big winner from that lesson when Sterling closes his eyes to a move to London.
