Magical record price reduction of millions every month

The Magic Millions Perth Yearling sale celebrated a record opening day yesterday (Tuesday).

Domestic buyers have reacted strongly and overcame any concerns about the lack of interest in eastern states due to Covid restrictions.

Local blood dealer John Chalmers secured the first sale of the day with Lot 174, a Colt God-Moodometer playing the game that made $330,000.

“He’s the type of guy who likes to stay spacious and have a lot of scope,” says Chalmers.

Moodometers have enjoyed success under Steve Wolfe, winning best in Group 3 of the WA Oaks over the 2400m in 2006.

Victorian blood collection agent Mark Pilkington secured Amelia Park’s Russo-Samovare Revolution on behalf of Darren Thomas and a Seymour blood sample.

Samovare is a half-sister to the three-winner Tiger Of Malay dark horse in the Sydney Group and WA galloper Samizdat.

Amelia Park’s owner, Peter Walsh, a good friend of Thomas’s, still keeps a piece of the trash. A coach has yet to be identified.

Durrant was a successful auctioneer on Colts So You Think (Lynward Park) and Deep Field of Willow Dale Ranch, fetching $320.00 and $300,000 respectively.

Simon Miller paid $250,000 for Amelia Park’s Nicconi in Amelia’s Love.

The average per person price of $91,175 has set a new Perth record. Total sales reached $12.8 million and the clearance rate was 85%.

Pre-order two of the multi-million dollar Perth Magic sale starting at 10am on Lots 179 to 338.
