Maruti Suzuki Dzire Tour S launched, with new exterior

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has launched an upgraded Dzire-based Tour S which is currently on sale in India. It is being offered in two engine options. There is a gasoline engine and a CNG powertrain. Gasoline engines are expensive $6.51 lakh while CNG version costs $7.36 thousand. Both prices are ex-showroom.

The sedan cab is now aesthetically updated as it is now based on the currently marketed Dzire. It has a revised front fascia, LED taillights and Tour S badging. Maruti Suzuki is offering the Tour S in three color options: Arctic White, Dark Black and Silky Silver. The interior now features a tilt-adjustable steering wheel, manual air conditioning with pollen filter, front accessory sockets, ISOFIX seat hooks and speed-sensitive door locks.

The Tour S is underpinned by the fifth-generation Heartect platform that is also being used for several other Maruti Suzuki products. In terms of safety features, there are Electronic Stability System (ESP), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA), Speed Limiter System. Levels, Reverse Parking Sensor, Dual Airbags, etc
The new Tour S is equipped with a 1.2L K-Series engine that produces 88 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and maximum torque of 113 Nm. When running on CNG, the output power drops to 76 hp at 6,000 rpm and maximum torque of 98.5 Nm at 4,300 rpm. Only a 5-speed manual transmission is offered, Maruti Suzuki does not offer any automatic transmission.
Maruti Suzuki claims fuel economy of 23.15 km/l for the petrol-powered Tour S. The S-CNG version of the Tour S has a fuel economy rating of 32.12 km/kg, 21% more efficient than the outgoing model.
