His latest revelation is that a piece of the world predicts a 17 . again the reunion will have to go on waiting — perhaps forever. More than a decade later Zac Efron played a younger version of the character Perry in the 2009 time-travel comedy, the older actor said Efron refused to play his junior a second time, even though it would be a plot new story.
In an interview on SiriusXM’s Pop culture spotlight with Jessica Shaw, Perry shared that he wrote a romantic comedy script that he originally intended to star in. “I finished a screenplay that we played with a number of people. I wanted to direct that,” he said. “I have a small part of that. I wrote it for myself, and then realized that I was too 20 years old to play this game. So we’re trying to cast the lead right now. When asked about his dream role, Perry revealed, “Well, it’s Zac Efron. But he said no. So we had to find someone who said yes.”
As for the love of the movie, Perry said that White Lotus‘S Aubrey Plaza “Almost done.” He added, “And that would be perfect because I think she’s cool. There are some impressive things in this too. She came so close, and it would be perfect.”
