Entertainment fix is returning to the Max Payne franchise. The studio announced Wednesday that it’s doing a remake Max Payne and Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne in collaboration with Rockstar Games.
“Max Payne always holds a special place in the hearts of everyone at Remedy, and we know millions of fans around the world feel the same way,” said Remedy CEO Tero Virtala. said in a New information posted. “We are incredibly excited to be working with our partners at Rockstar Games once again for the opportunity to bring the story, action, and atmosphere of the original Max Payne games back to players in new ways. new way.”
Remedy and Rockstar teamed up to create Max Payne 2continues where the original publisher, Gather of Developers, stopped after the original Max Payne. Rockstar Games handled development Max Payne 3was released in 2012, itself.
Max Payne and Max Payne 2 will be released as a single standalone title on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X, and will have a similar budget to Remedy’s other AAA projects, according to the news release. The remakes will use Remedy’s own Northlight engine, the technology that powers it Quantum Break and Control.
There’s no word yet on when the remakes might be released, but apparently the project is in the “concept development stage”.
