Two trains collide on Mexico City subway system on Saturday, killing at least one person and injuring 57 others, the city’s mayor said.
At a press conference, Mayor Claudia Sheinbaum said a train driver was in serious condition following an incident at La Raza and Potrero stations on metro line 3.
The mayor said four others were hospitalized after they were rescued in an operation involving the Departments of Defense, Navy and Civil Protection.
“As always, our priority is the victims and justice will be served,” she said.
