More than 21,000 people died from earthquakes in Turkey and Syria

Rescue operations continue across 10 Turkish provinces affected by Monday’s deadly earthquake.
Three girls between the ages of 5 and 10 were found alive under the rubble during a search and rescue operation in Kahramanmaras on Thursday, according to a CNN affiliate. CNN Turkey.
CNN Turk reported that one of the girls was pulled from the rubble in the 89th hour since the quake struck.
The girl suffered only minor scratches, CNN Turk reporter said, describing the operation as a “miracle rescue operation”.
The other two girls are in contact with search and rescue teams but are still trapped while efforts to pull them out continue, according to CNN Turk.
In Adiyaman, a 17-year-old girl, Gulsum Yesilkaya, was rescued Thursday after a 27-hour rescue operation, according to CNN Turk. She was taken straight to an ambulance, CNN Turk reported.
Yigit Akar, 23, was also rescued on Thursday, according to Turkey’s state news agency Anadolu. He was trapped beneath the rubble of a building in Gaziantep’s Islahiye district in the Camlica neighborhood, Anadolu reported.
