Musk’s Starlink Is Rising in Price
It seems like the price of almost everything has been going up lately – that’s the effect of inflation. SpaceX said that while many Americans who have experienced the capitalist megahits are accustomed to the cost uncertainty surrounding staples like food and gas, inflation, too, is behind. some changes coming to satellite internet provider, Starlink.
“Due to excessive levels of inflation, the price of the Starlink kit is increasing from $499 to $549 for depositors and $599 for all new orders, effective today,” an email said. forwarded to the said Engadget. “Additionally, Starlink’s monthly service price will increase from $99 to $110. The new price will apply to your subscription on April 22, 2022.”
The email reminds customers that, for the first year, they can cancel and receive “a partial refund of $200” or a full refund if their device was received within the last 30 days. Several other customers have posted identical emails on Twitter, though the company has yet to respond to our request for confirmation and for more details. We will update if we get a response.
