P&G Beauty acquires Mielle Organics
P&G Beauty announced that it has signed a formal agreement with Black-owned hair care brand Mielle Organics following rapid growth, fueled by social media. The news comes a few days after its rosemary mint oil made headlines as longtime fans voiced their concerns that recent use of the product by white women could make the product less available to core customers or even lead to a change in the formula. The new partnership, for an undisclosed amount, will increase product availability and there are no plans to change the formula. “Mielle remains committed to leading with purpose and impact, and serving as a beacon in historically underserved communities… expanding our impact in Skin communities. black and brown will become even more of a focus in the coming years,” co-founder Melvin Rodriguez said in a statement. {WWD}
