NFL legend Tony ‘Goose’ Siragusa died tragically at the age of 55 when tributes to the star
Super Bowl winner turned sideline analyst Tony Siragusa died at age 55 on Wednesday, the same day the Baltimore Ravens announced the death of defender Jaylon Ferguson

The American football community is in mourning after the death of the former player NFL star Tony Siragusa.
‘The Goose’ joined Indianapolis Colts in 1990 after deselecting in Drafts that year, spent seven seasons with the franchise before moving on to Baltimore Raven. He went on to help the Maryland team win its first Super Bowl championship in its penultimate season before retiring in 2001.
Former defensive player Siragusa has enjoyed a successful career as a sideline analyst for FOX, as well as a TV presenter and venture into acting. He turns 55 in May, with Pro Football Network’s Aaron Wilson reporting he died in his sleep.
“It’s been a tough game. I love Goose like a brother,” Ravens legend Ray Lewis said. “From the first day we met, I knew life was different, I knew he was the man who would change my life forever.
He’s the only person who makes you feel important and special. You can never replace a man like that. On the pitch, he was the ultimate competitor who brought out the best in all of us. “
Another former Ravens teammate, Brad Jackson, said Siragusa “was the team leader.” He is our captain. He means to everyone. It was a sad day. I just spoke to him on Sunday. It’s terrible.”

Many NFL fans came to appreciate Siragusa after Baltimore appeared on HBO’s first season Hard Knocks . The New Jersey-born boy is known as a pragmatic joker, famous for locking some of his teammates in a trailer before Shannon Sharpe responded by moving his car to a super nearby town.
The Ravens marked an “extremely sad day” after Announcement of the death of defender Jaylon Ferguson earlier on Wednesday. The 26-year-old has competed in all of Baltimore’s pre-season shows to date, with the cause of death still unconfirmed.
A team statement remembered Ferguson as “a kind, respectful lad with a big smile and infectious personality. We extend our sincerest condolences to Jaylon’s family and friends as we mourn their loss. sorry for a life lost so soon.”
