NFL Pro Bowl skills competitions including dodgeball, golf


LAS VEGAS (AP) – The NFL announced all eight skills competitions for the revamped Pro Bowl week on Wednesday.

Five of the events will take place on February 2 at the Intermenez Wellness Performance Center, the Las Vegas Raiders headquarters. Those will be televised but not open to the public.

The rest is February 5 at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium, and tickets go on sale for that day.

Events at Raiders headquarters include a dodgeball tournament, a three-part knockout called the “Lightning Round”, a longest golf swing, quarterback challenge, and first round. first of the best catching ball game.

The stadium competitions are the finals of the best catch, the obstacle course, the special teams competition, and the top-to-bottom chain strength competition.

Seven-on-seven chess football matches will highlight stadium events and replace the traditional Pro Bowl game. The NFL announced in September that it would be phasing out the all-star game with full contact between traditional AFC and NFC after years of criticism over the quality of the game.

The Philadelphia Eagles there are eight best players in the league, including midfielders Jalen hurtsselected for the first Pro Bowl Game.

Kansas City and Dallas each had seven players selected for the Olympics. San Francisco and Baltimore are next with six. Only two teams — Jacksonville and Chicago — were not on the original roster.
