NFL Week 13 Odds: Why Tennessee Titans Will Cover, Other Best Bets

There are many seasons in an NFL season.

There’s excitement at opening over the weekend and the first month of the season. Then the tournament became routine until Thanksgiving weekend. After all the turkeys settle and the results become final, the NFL world turns our attention to the ever-changing playoff picture. The matches started to become more important and the intensity of the tournament increased every Sunday. We’ve finally reached that point of the season, which should make this weekend’s leaderboards even more interesting.

With that in mind, here are my favorite bets of the weekend (with all odds through Bet FOX):

giant in Eagle (1 p.m. ET Sunday, FOX and FOX Sports apps)

I am on the Titans road to recovery after being unable to play last weekend in a home loss to the Bengals.

While I don’t like the Titans not scoring any points, the rest of this game suits them very well. The Eagle’s rushing defense is ranked 24th in the league, and the Titans can exploit this to some success in attack.

Titans need to run the ball well because the Eagles defense can block the pass and won’t be scared first Ryan Tannehill. Derrick Henry only dashed for 38 yards last weekend, and after a lousy performance, we usually see a boom in his production the following week. In addition, the coaching staff will challenge the Titans’ will to attack to improve on last week’s poor performance.

Since losing to the Bills in Week 2, the Titans’ defense hasn’t been allowed to score more than 22 points in a game. That includes allowing 20 for both chief and the Bengals, two of the better offenses in the NFL.

The Titans’ defense is tough, physical and offensive. They were first in the DVOA defense rush, and their defense should feel good in this game against a pounding Eagles attack. The Eagles have been having problems lately when faced with a dominating defence, struggling to score first. Washington D.C and Indianapolis.

The combination of the Titans’ pounding attack and their rushed defense will give them the edge in this competition.

Also, the Titans are 17-7 on the margin as a team 3 or more points behind under Mike Vrabel.

PICK: Titans (+5.5 at FOX Bets) to lose less than 5.5 points (or win outright)

Eagle in Rams (4:05 p.m. ET Sunday, FOX and FOX Sports apps)

Rams season is over.

Matthew Stafford hurt, Cooper Kupp hurt, Aaron Donald hurt and Rams is not competitive at all. They have lost 5 matches in a row when they did not score more than 20 points and lost at least 1 goal in 4 of them.

The Rams host the Seahawks, and Seattle desperately needs a win. The Seahawks started quickly with a score of 6-3 but lost two games in a row. It seems easy to get them to 7.5 at this point, but I’m not sure if they’re reliable.

Every public Joe would bet on the Hawks, and I don’t blame them. But often, the bets that seem too “easy” are the ones that make your Sunday worse.

I think you put Seattle in a trailer. Take the number from 7.5 down to 1.5. You can pair Seahawks with country music and lion to form my favorite teaser for the weekend.

chief in Bengali (4:25 p.m. ET Sunday, CBS)

Team Bengal beat the Captain twice last season, including a dramatic win from behind in the AFC championship game in Kansas City. Both the Bengals’ wins followed the same pattern. The captain scored early, then the Bengal team bounced back to win.

And based on both teams’ results after the 12-day NFL weekend, I’m willing to bet on that again.

My favorite bet in this game is that the captain has a first half total of over 13.5 points. For starters, the Captain averaged 14.6 points in the first half, while the Bengal team scored more points in the first half than in the second. Cincy was an excellent defense in the second half, scoring just 7.7 points per second.

Another reason I like Captains to score early and often they’ve been waiting to play this game since the clock hit zero in their championship loss. We will see Andy Reid’s special and super focused game plan Patrick Mahomes.

The Captains can often get through games against poor teams like they did against the Rams on Sunday. But they are hard to stop when locked down, like the game against Tampa and San Francisco.

Now, I can’t give the whole game to the Captain because I respect the Bengals’ ability to score and block clear opponents in the second half of the game. There are so many unknowns there. But what I do know is that the Captains will want to score early and often, and I believe they will. Look for them to have at least two touches in the first half of this game.

PICK: 1st Half Captain Total Scores Over 13.5 in FOX Bets
