Ohio teacher pleads guilty to sending nude Snapchats to 14-year-old student

An Ohio teacher is facing prison after sending sexually explicit photos to… ugh… a middle school student.
Ana D’Ettorreformer teacher at Tu Do Secondary School of Liberty Township, pleaded guilty to one count of sexual misconduct with a minor and one count of sharing harmful material with a minor after grooming a 14-year-old male student with erotic photos. The 25-year-old man was initially charged with 12 counts, according to WKRC.
Apparently, D’Ettorre, 24 years old at the time, was a student teacher at Lakota . School District middle school in the second semester of the academic year 2021-2022, while attending a Christian university liberal university in Lynchburg, Virginia. It was during that time that she began to form an inappropriate relationship with the teenage boy through Snapchatsend the victim many sexually explicit pictures.

After D’Ettorre’s teaching time at the school ended, she remained in contact with the minor – and even arranged to meet him outside of school from May 21 to August 30. last year, according to Magazine-News. In a police report obtained by WKRC, the teenager told police that he once sneaked out of the house to see D’Ettorre at night. He testified that in addition to sending him nude photos, the two had sex three times, according to the report.
Butler County Prosecutor Mike Gmoser told the local news station:
“The long-term effects of that sexualization are dramatic and devastating, and we know it. Science is there, and that’s why it’s banned, and that’s why we punish those who engage in that kind of activity with the appropriate sentences.”
Betsy FullerAfter being notified of the investigation, the school is fully compliant with law enforcement agencies, a spokesperson for the Lakota School District said. She wrote in a statement:
“We are extremely disappointed that such serious allegations have been made against a student teacher who spent time with our students.”
She added that the district received no complaints regarding D’Ettorre during her time teaching.

According to the documents, since she entered the plea agreement, the court dropped 10 other charges of harmful dissemination of matter to a minor. Now, D’Ettorre is facing a two-year prison sentence when she is officially convicted, in addition to being required to register as a second-degree sex offender. Her next trial is scheduled for May. April 11.
