Oklahoma Donut Shop Firebombed With Molotov Cocktail after hosting an art show with Drag Queens

A popular donut shop in Tulsa, Oklahoma was set on fire by an extremist this week. We’ll just let that sink in for a moment. One Donut shop. Firebombed. And it really is Monday Vandalism has struck the small business after it hosted an art show featuring drag queens last month.

Police said an unidentified person wearing a mask, black clothing and a red hat could be seen on the security camera smashing the front window of the hotel. The Donut Hole with a baseball bat. They then threw what was essentially a Molotov cocktail at the building (pictured inside, above).

The Tulsa Fire Department was called to the scene to put out the fire. sublieutenant Tim Ingram told News of the 6th day About the fire bomb:

“It contains some kind of chemical that spreads fire quickly and causes great damage.”

OH MY GOD…

Based on World of Tulsa, the individual responsible for the attack can also be seen on the video leaving a note “about a nearby business”. The note contained “biblical verses and hate speech,” the newspaper said. You know, because the Bible definitely has a passage that says “fire bombs on your neighbor”…

Sadly, the situation is just as scary, this isn’t the first time this has happened in the past few weeks. Late on October 15, The Donut Hole’s front door was smashed and a front window was destroyed by a vandal. A few hours earlier, the small business held an art event called The Queens Dirty Dozenbrought in by local drag queens.

In one Facebook Post recounting the first event of October and its ugly aftermath, donut biz wrote:

“Last night, we had the honor of being part of The Queens Dirty Dozen’s vision; An art installation donut shop run by drag queens. The event was a huge success with over 500 guests in attendance, and all of them reacted with laughter, jokes, fun and a good time.”

They continue with details of the “reaction of hate” coming from someone who is not kind to the presence of the queens of manipulation:

“Unfortunately, there was also a hate response and we are victims of the malicious actions of some people. But in our marching efforts to make rain, the community responded with a warm show of support. “

Too scared. And now, just two weeks later, things seem to have escalated with the Molotov cocktail. The horrifying situation seems to be getting worse as more and more extremists incite violence with hate speech against anything LGBT.

After the first incident, a supporter set up GoFundMe page to help owners Sarah Swain (pictured above, in front of her vandalized store) with cleaning and repairs. During the fundraiser from mid-October, the original incident was explained in more detail:

“Recently, after opening her shop in an event promoting love and equality, she was vandalized. Her front door and window were smashed and her registry and electronic devices stolen. Sarah is a small business owner, and this type of disruption can be hard to recover from for a small business. She will need the community’s help to rally behind her to reopen the store. “

Now, with the second act of vandalism happening this week, supporters are doubling down on their support for Swain and The Donut Hole. As of Friday morning, GoFundMe has received new life with more than $24,000 raised for repairs. You can visit the shop’s GoFundMe page HERE.

It was a wonderful and inspiring response. We’re just horrified and saddened when The Donut Hole goes through this hateful behavior twice. Once is too much! Ouch!
