Packers have improved, but does Aaron Rodgers trust young WRs?

The Green Bay Packers followed by a terrible loss in Week 1 with a resounding result 27-10 win via Chicago Bears last weekend.

With all eyes Aaron Rodgers and the offense of the New Interface Packer, the backstabbing NFL The MVP looked sharp from start to finish, pitching 234 yards and two touchdowns. Most importantly, Rodgers completed 19 passes to nine different players in the win.

However, FOX Sports’ Colin Cowherd still did not believe that Rogers had earned the trust of his new wide receivers.

On Monday’s broadcast of “The Herd“Cowherd says he doesn’t see the improvement he wants to see in the Packers’ offense following the team’s 22nd win over the Bears in their previous 25 meetings.

“The same issues with Green Bay this morning persist,” Cowherd said. “Aaron doesn’t trust his young receivers. Oh, Romeo Doubs, his two catches are passes across the screen. He [Rodgers] don’t throw the ball on the field for him [Doubs]and he is an amazing young talent.

Christian Watsonthat’s the jet sweep, that’s the running plays. Sammy Watkins wouldn’t be the answer against that Niners defense, against brave catagainst [Matthew] Stafford and Ramsmaybe even resist Philadelphia. Similar problems persist: He doesn’t trust young recipients. “

Green Bay signed Watkins for the season, while Watson was a pick in the second round and Doubs was drafted in the fourth round. Allen Lazardwho made his season debut in Week 2, is about to have an eight encounter season. Randall Cobb is in the second season of his second stint at Green Bay, while 2021 is the third Amari Rodgers is in his second season.

In Green Bay’s first two games this season, Rodgers has totaled 429 passes, two touchdowns, one interception and a midfield stat of 94.5, completing 69.5% of his throws. . Watkins was the team’s top scorer with six hits from 111 yards.

Green Bay won the NFC North and 13 regular season games in all three of LaFleur’s full seasons as head coach. With that said, the Packers haven’t won NFC since 2010 – that’s when they won their last Super Bowl.

Cowherd talks about Rodgers and the Packers. “Incredibly predictable, hilarious, but will never win an award. Will never be the best movie of the year.”

Green Bay sets out to take on Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-0) on Sunday (4:25 p.m. ET on FOX and the FOX Sports app).
