Part of Beirut’s port silos collapse on 2nd anniversary

BEIRUT – A large part of a huge grain cellar in the port of Beirut, shredded by a massive explosion two years ago, collapsed on Thursday as hundreds of people marched in Beirut to mark the two-year anniversary of the crop. Explosion kills many people

The north block of the silo consisting of four towers had gradually tilted over several days and collapsed causing a huge cloud of dust to cover the structure shielding Beirut’s western residential areas when the explosion occurred on the 4th. August 2020 kills nearly 220 people, injures 6,000 and causes billions of dollars in damage.
