Party Down South Star Joshua Tharpe dies at 42
Joshua Tharpe – who appeared on CMT reality series Party Down South – passed away at the incredibly young age of only 42.
On Tuesday, TMZ reported that the reality TV star was found dead on the kitchen floor of his home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on Monday. His brother Billy confirmed the tragic news to the outlet, saying that Tharpe’s death was a surprise as he appeared to be fine the day before his passing.
According to Billy, the TV personality attended a church service with his mother on Sunday and then spent some time at her house. He then dropped into a friend’s house, where he intended to stay the night but left to go to his own place to pick up some clothes. However, Tharpe never returned.

His friend became increasingly worried when she didn’t hear from him the next day, so she contacted his mother to check on him. The mother quickly ran to his accommodation, where she found him collapsed on the floor. Terrible. We can’t even imagine how hard it was for a mother to find her son.
Billy said TMZ which the coroner told Joshua’s family died of a heart attack. Apparently, he experienced a similar health incident a year ago, but it was milder. They assumed he had made a full recovery.
As we mentioned before, Joshua is best known for his time on reality TV series Party Down South. Although he is not an official member of the show, he has been featured in many episodes and gained popularity among the fans.
In case you didn’t know, the program was created by Jersey Shore Executive Producer SallyAnn Salsano and 495 products as a kind of successful Southern acceptance of reality. Party Down South follows eight adults living together for a summer. They shot in multiple locations around the south, including Pensacola, Florida; Murrells Inlet, South Carolina; Savannah, Georgia; and Biloxi, Mississippi. The film was released in October 2014 and immediately became a huge hit. Successor, CMT make two more seasons of it Party Down South 2. However, it was soon cancelled, with the final season ending in 2016.
