Phoebe Philo to launch her new fashion label in September

When British designer Phoebe Philo announced she would be quitting her top creative job at luxury fashion house Celine in 2017, women around the world took a deep breath in unison.
She spent nearly 10 years at the brand developing a new vocabulary for womenswear — focusing on simple, wearable, beautifully crafted designs that helped her gain a devoted following. and numerous industry awards, including the 2011 CFDA International Designer of the Year.
Even if you can’t afford Philo’s clothes at Celine, you can still benefit from the run-down effect of her work, which has impacted more affordable retailers at that time.
Budget-minded Phoebe Philo fanatic is referred to her clean lines and chic flair in brands like H&M’s high-end sister Cos, for example.
While most creative directors are at the height of their house-hopping careers, Philo isn’t making such a move. She just stopped. And so – after years away from the limelight – the elusive designer’s announcement this week that she’s launching her new label in September is big news.
