Pittsburgh Steelers Quarterback Dwayne Haskins dies aged 24 after being hit by a dump truck

Pittsburgh Steelsmith midfielder Dwayne Haskins tragically passed away after being hit by a car on Saturday. He just turned 24 years old.
Florida Highway Patrol Spokesperson Lt. Indiana Miranda speak Related press that the soccer player was killed Saturday morning after he left his car west of Interstate 595 in Fort Lauderdale. Based on CBS MiamiThe department said Haskins was “trying to cross the westbound lanes” in a “restricted access vehicle for unknown reasons” when he was suddenly hit by a passing dump truck. He is presumed dead at the scene.

The Ohio State University alum agent Cedric Saunders speak ESPN that he was in Boca Raton, Florida, training with his teammates at the time of the accident. After the tragic news, the Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin condolences to the Haskins family “during this difficult time”, expressing:
“I am deeply saddened and speechless with the unfortunate passing of Dwayne Haskins. He quickly became part of our Steelers family upon his arrival in Pittsburgh and is one of our hardest workers, both on the field and in our community. Dwayne is a great teammate, but even a great friend to so many people. I’m really sad. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Kalabrya, and his entire family during this difficult time.”
The athlete actually signed a one-year contract to stay with the Steelers for three weeks before his death. Previously, Haskins played for Washington Commanders in two seasons. Commanding Officer Coach Ron Rivera shared in a statement how ‘heartbroken’ he was at the news:
“I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Dwayne Haskins Jr. Dwayne is a talented young man with a long life ahead of him. This is a very sad time and I am truly speechless. I know I speak to the rest of our team when I say he will be greatly missed. Our entire team is sending our sincere condolences, thoughts and prayers to the Haskins family at this time.”
