Raju Srivastava passes away, Live Update: Comedian’s final rites to take place at Nigam Bodh ghat, Sunil Pal at crematorium

Famous comedian Raju Srivastava died on Wednesday (September 21) after 41 days in hospital. The 58-year-old comedian suffered a heart attack on August 10 while working out at a gym in Delhi. He was taken to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi and underwent angioplasty. Since then, he has been on a ventilator and never regained consciousness. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and other senior leaders mourn the passing of the comedian king. His funeral will take place at Nigambodh ghat today (September 22). His remains were taken from AIIMS to his home in Delhi. A familiar face in the entertainment industry since the 1980s, the comedian enjoyed unparalleled success after starring in the first season of the reality comedy show “The Great Indian Laughter Challenge” (2005) ). Raju Srivastava has also appeared in such Hindi films as “Maine Pyar Kiya”, “Baazigar”, the remake of “Bombay to Goa” and “Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiya”.
