Electric car maker Rivian is developing an electric bike, according to source talk to Bloomberg. RJ CEO Scaringe apparently told employees about the e-bike effort during a company meeting on Friday, noting that a small team is currently working on it.
Bloomberg says that it’s unclear if Scaringe is talking about battery-powered bicycles (aka e-bikes) or electric motorcycles. However, Scaringe was tease an item into micro-mobility in the past, and the company already holds patents for e-bike designs and components.
