Via Chris Williams: Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero feels Terence Crawford cannot be sold on a pay-per-view basis and thinks he would be a better choice for unified welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr. to continue fighting.
Rolly (14-1, 12 KOs), who was defeated by ‘regular’ WBA lightweight champion Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis in a sixth-round knockout loss on May 28, said that a the fight between him and Spence (28-0.22 KOs) will make a $100 million portal.
What is clear is that after tasting the big money in the fight against Gervonta on Showtime PPV, Rolly, 26, doesn’t care. back to the salt mine to achieve the title of other world champion.
Instead of working for a second chance, Rolly is trying to catch one by calling Spence 24/7.
To help increase his chances of getting that second payday, Rolly is throwing Craword under the bus, letting fans and Spence know he can’t sell on PPV.
Rolly is following the path of laziness to get another title, but what the heck? It worked once to get a fight with the Davis Tank so it could work again. It beats having to work for it.
When you’re blabbing your way to the title, it’s infinitely easier than risking a fight with the top contenders at 147 to get a match against Errol.
Rolly Romero said to Fighthype about Terence Crawford. “No one considers Crawford a bad thing. He’s as ugly as an asshole, and he cannot sell a view.
“Rolly versus Spence at 147 lbs. Rolando said: We’re going to sell that thing, and we’re going to make $100 million from the start.
At this point, the boxing public will be paying attention to the PPV match between Spence and Rolly. No one wants to see that mismatch, mostly if it’s on pay-per-view.
Fans will assume Spence is a cherry blossom picker if he sinks to the level of a duel with Rolly because the guy has never beaten anyone well and probably never will.
“I am not Devin’s biological father. He got those genes from Bill [Haney]. He’s a lowly breed, and honestly, I feel bad for him, and he’s as ugly as an asshole,” said Rolly.
“We’re definitely working to make that fight happen,” Crawford told Showtime of the fight with Spence. “I think this is the perfect time; it’s for all the marbles, undeniably. “
If Crawford doesn’t fight Spence, he can always fight kt Rolly.
Given the way Rolly is destroying Crawford, maybe promoters will be interested in making war between them. There will be some bad health if Rolly continues to attack Crawford.
Unfortunately for Crawford, there’s no guarantee he’ll fight Spence as there’s too much of a difference between the two in terms of PPV’s popularity and past success.
