On Thursday, Bhagwat and senior members of the Sangh met Umer Ahmed Ilyasi, head of the All India Imam Foundation, at a mosque in Kasturba Gandhi Marg.
The closed-door meeting lasted more than an hour.
Bhagwat was accompanied by secretary general Krishna Gopal, Ram Lal and Indresh Kumar. While Lal was previously the organization secretary of the BJP, Kumar was the patron of the Muslim Manchu Rashtriya.
Sharing details of the meeting, Suhaib Ilyasi, brother of Ahmed Ilyasi, said, “It was a pleasure that Bhagwatji came at our invitation on the anniversary of our father’s death. It also sent a good message to the land. country.”
All India Imam is the voice representing the Indian Imam community and claims to be the largest Imam organization in the world.
It was established to address at all levels the socioeconomic issues that directly affect the income of the Imams, their status in society and the expectations that the community and the state have from them.

During the meeting, Bhagwat raised the issue of using the word “kafir” among Hindus, which, he said, did not bring a good message. On the other hand, Muslim intellectuals oppose some right-wing activists calling Muslim “jihadi” and “Pakistan”.
Muslim intellectuals also told Bhagwat that the real purpose behind the use of ‘kafir’ is something different, but in some areas it is now being used as an “abuse” “.
The head of RSS acknowledged the apprehension of the intelligentsia and emphasized that ‘the DNA of all Hindus and Muslims is the same’.
Responding to Bhagwat’s meeting with Muslim leaders, RSS Prachar Pramukh Sunil Ambekar said, “Sarsanghachalak meets people from all walks of life. It’s part of an ongoing joint ‘Samvad’ process.”

Before that, Bhagwat had met a number of Muslim intellectuals, such as former Delhi Governor Najeeb Jung, former election commissioner SY Quraishi, former rector of Aligarh Islamic University, Lieutenant General Zameer Uddin Shah, former Shahid congressman Siddiqui and businessman Saeed Shervani.
According to sources close to RSS, issues such as the Hijab controversy, Gyanvapi and maintaining peace and harmony among religions were discussed in the meeting.
During the meeting, it was decided to build a platform to strengthen community harmony in the country.
Bhagwat and the group of intellectuals agreed that without strengthening community harmony and reconciliation between communities, the country could not progress, sources present at the meeting said.

Meanwhile, AIMIM head Asaduddin Owaisi criticized the “Muslim elite” who met with the RSS head, saying it had nothing to do with “fundamental reality”.
“This elite class, which thinks they are very knowledgeable and have no connection to the ground reality, they are living comfortably and they go to see the head of the RSS. That is their democratic right, I do not question it, but neither do they” There is no right to question us,” the AIMIM MP was quoted as saying.
Questioning the “so-called elites” to meet RSS, Owaisi said that the whole world knows Sangh’s ideology.
Owaisi is a vocal critic of RSS and often speaks out against the ideology of the organization.
