A source said Shakira really likes Clara – and certainly doesn’t see a threat to her marriage at the age of 22 or 23:
“She goes unnoticed, Shakira never sees danger because she’s not a gorgeous woman, she’s a pretty normal girl.”
In fact, the insider said, Shakira liked the young girl enough to give her the nickname: “muerta muerta”. That roughly translates to “dead mosquito” or “dead little fly”. It’s a phrase that refers to a person who overcomes a supposed lack of potency – and more deeply is also used to refer to someone who is harmless but can actually sting! Kind of like “wolf in sheep’s clothing”… Hmm. Insiders say that this is the more beautiful meaning. They say Shak likes the girl and feels even more betrayed because of it:
“That’s why it hurts her so much, because he already knows her and calls her ‘damn fly’.”
So shrunken. Or maybe Shakira always had a sense of distrust of the little girl hanging around her man??
