Sharon Osbourne is back at home after a medical emergency


Sharon Osbourne is feeling better after being rushed to the hospital over the weekend.

The reality star started to feel unwell while filming an episode about her son Jack OsbourneTV show of horror night at the Glen Tavern Inn in Santa Paula, California on Friday night and was later taken to a nearby hospital. Sheriff Santa Paula Donald Aguilera confirm to E! News that officers responded to a 911 call about a medical emergency around 6:30 p.m. Friday. But by Saturday night, Sharon appeared to be recovering as Jack confirmed via a post on his Instagram Stories that she had been discharged. “She was clearly informed by the medical team and is now home. Thank you to everyone who reached out for love and support, he wrote. “As for what happened to my mother—I’ll let her share when she’s ready.”

In 2002, she underwent a series of chemotherapy treatments after being diagnosed with colon cancer, documenting the entire process during the second season of her family’s MTV reality show, Osbourne. Sharon has remained cancer-free since then, however, she underwent a double mastectomy in 2012 after learning she had a gene that increases her risk of developing breast cancer. She also swore to get plastic surgery at the time, as she explained in an episode of Conversation that another reason she made the decision to have her breasts removed was because they were “in really bad shape” due to a problem with her implants. “One of them broke, and all got into my abdominal wall. And one breast is different from the other.” Sharon added, “Never have” [implants]by the way.”

In May, Osbourne revealed that she had tested positive for COVID-19 a second time, around the same time as her daughter. Kelly Osbourne and husband Ozzy Osbourne also sick. The first time the talk show host contracted the virus was in December 2020, she was also briefly hospitalized.
