Sinéad O’Connor reveals her 17-year-old son died after going missing

Sinead O’Connor is mourning the passing of her 17-year-old son Shane just two days after she announced that her son had gone missing while on suicide watch in the hospital.

Based on GuardiansPolice closed the missing person case after finding a body in the Bray, Wicklow area on Friday and confirming it was Shane. No other details of his departure have been revealed at this time. But the 55-year-old male singer later announced his tragic death on Twitter, wrote in a heartbreaking tribute:

“My beautiful son, Nevi’im Nesta Ali Shane O’Connor, who has been the light of my life, has decided to end his mortal struggle today and is now with God. . May he rest in peace and no one will follow his example. My child. I love you very much. Please be at peace.”

In a follow-up post, Sinéad tweeted out a Bob Marley The song she dedicated to her son:

“This is for my Shaney. The light of my life. The lamp of my soul. My blue-eyed baby. You will always be my light. We will always be together. No boundaries can separate us.”

The news comes after the mother revealed earlier this week that the teenager had committed “two serious suicides” seven days ago and is being treated at the hospital. Tallaght University Hospital in Dublin, Ireland. However, he disappeared from the hospital on Thursday – prompting Sinéad to directly plead for his safe return on social media. She wrote at the time:

“This is a message for my son, Shane. Shane, it’s no longer fun when all of this is missing. You are making me scared. Can you please do the right thing and present yourself at a Gardai station. If you are traveling with Shane, call Gardai for his safety. ”

She continued:

“Shane, your life is precious. God did not carve that beautiful smile on your pretty face for nothing. My world would fall apart without you. You are my heart. Please don’t stop it from beating. Please don’t harm yourself. Come to Gardai and take you to the hospital. ”
