What makes Saturday night live Lisa from the Temecula sketch is funny, the material itself isn’t. It’s that everyone in the sketch from Nwodim to showrunner Pedro Pascal can’t hold the character the whole time.
The amazing, absolutely amazing performance that Ego Nwodim put into this sketch was so good, no one survived. The sketch begins rather innocently with a celebration of a friend’s (Punkie Johnson) birthday party. However, things take a turn for the worse when Nwodim tries to cut her extremely delicious steak. It was a tough piece of meat and when Nwodim tried to cut himself a piece, hilarity ensued. It’s hard to describe the following events but everyone has a personality break, the best break being Bowen Yang, who broke after Nwodim claimed they received complaints because “they were Da people” black.”
