KABUL: The Taliban on Tuesday ordered an indefinite ban on higher education for Afghan girls, Ministry of Higher Education said in a letter to all government and private universities.
“All of you are informed to implement the order to suspend women’s education until further notice,” the letter signed by the Minister of Higher Education said. Neda Mohamad Nadeem.
Ministry Spokesperson, Ziaullah Hashimiwho tweeted the letter, confirming the order in a text message to AFP.
