Tata Curvv Concept: Five Key Highlights
The Tata Curvv SUV concept is the company’s first attempt at testing a coupe SUV.
Tata Motors has unveiled its new electric vehicle in concept form, named tata Curvv. The homegrown car company has taken the leading position in the Indian SUV segment with a wide range of SUVs in different sizes. The company aims to further strengthen its position in the segment with more innovative products. The result of that strategy is the Tata Curvv concept here.
Here are five key highlights of the all-new Tata Curvv concept.
EV . First Approach
The Tata Curvv SUV is confirmed to come with an electric-first approach, and then iCE variants will follow. In that case, Tata Motors would be the first brand in India to launch an SUV with a front-electric variant. In addition, the Tata Curvv will be the first car in India to have an electric variant first, followed by variants powered by the internal combustion engine.
Tata’s first coupe SUV
Tata Motors has improved its car design significantly over the past few years through its Impact style philosophy. Tata Curvv is considered the brand’s first coupe SUV concept. Before, Mahindra introduced its XUV Aero concept at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo, which is yet to materialize.
A suitable premium design
The Tata Curvv concept model appears with a unique design, attracting attention at first sight. The SUV concept looks inspired by the Tata Punch small SUV from the front, while the rear of the car seems to draw influences from Tiger sedans. Sleek delta-shaped LED lights, wide LED strips, hand-crafted front fascia, sporty alloy wheels, sleek LED taillights, and the soft coupe’s sloping roofline are some of the design elements. on the exterior increases the vehicle’s visual appeal.
Premium feature-packed cabin
The automaker claims that the cabin of the Tata Curvv SUV concept is compact but spacious. It has a dual floating island digital display in the dashboard with one acting as a touchscreen infotainment system and the other acting as a gauge cluster. This concept gets rid of conventional buttons and dials and moves to touch-sensitive panels. The seats and upholstery are said to focus on sportiness.
Technology-first approach
Tata Motors claims that the Curvv SUV concept has been designed with a technology-first approach. It features a new steering wheel with illuminated brand logos instead of the usual embossed logos. In addition, the steering wheel has a touch panel instead of the usual buttons. The dashboard and other parts of the SUV also focus on a digital approach.
