A former Tesla construction executive has filed a lawsuit against the electric car company, alleging he was fired for reporting widespread safety violations and racism at Tesla factories.

In a lawsuit filed in Alameda County Superior Court on Friday, Marc Cage, an African-American, claims to have reported safety violations that caused a massive explosion at Tesla’s battery factory in Nevada and systematic errors caused by the company revealing a serious on-the-job injury. .

Tesla did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the lawsuit.
