Argentina’s FIFA World Cup-winning superstars have arrived home and they are greeted by passionate football fans, which is befitting of world champions. As expected, there was an open bus parade for the champions in Buenos Aires, where Lionel Messi and his teammates noted the praises from the fans.
Argentina won the World Cup for the third time on Sunday night after beating defending champions France in a final that is considered by many to be the best final ever. Both teams drew 3-3 after extra time with the Argentine winning the penalty shootout. Messi scored twice for Argentina while Kylian Mbappe hat-trick for France.

After beating France in Sunday’s thrilling final, the players will spend the night at the Argentine Football Association (AFA) training complex near Ezeiza airport, where they travel to Buenos Aires and where thousands Supporters are waiting to greet them.
They will then head to the iconic Obelisk for a tour of downtown Buenos Aires from Tuesday noon with millions taking to the streets for the holiday.
“We’ll be here all night and tomorrow,” student Ayrton Kerdocas, 25, told AFP outside the airport.
“Tomorrow we are not working, we are not going to do anything and we will go directly to Obelisk with Argentina.”
Argentina won the final in Qatar 4-2 on penalties after drawing 3-3 on a roller coaster in 120 minutes of unparalleled drama to claim its first world championship in 36 five.
Messi, who scored twice in the final, was the first player to step out of the plane, holding the World Cup trophy aloft, with coach Lionel Scaloni right behind him.
Ahead Julian Alvareza revelation in Qatar with his four goals, was one of the next players to leave the Aerolinas Argentinas Airbus A330.
Messi’s image is decorated on the tail of the plane with the words: “one team, one country, one dream” on the side.
The players walked from the plane along the red carpet straight to a white convertible bus with the words “world champion” and three stars on the side as the band’s World Cup theme song “Muchachos” ska La Mosca sounded.
