Jurgen Klopp previews Leicester City Premier League clash

Thiago has called his Liverpool teammate Fabinho “world-class” despite Jurgen Klopp’s recent claim that the Brazilian does not need public praise.

The Reds midfielder has been impressive since he entered 2018.

Fabinho, who costs £40m, plays a key role in the defense, often allowing his team to push and sustain attacks.

Thiago arrived from Bayern Munich last summer but has started playing consistently this term.

Playing alongside the Brazilian has allowed him to see firsthand how impressed he is with the Spaniard, grateful for the insurance policy he offers.

“He is a world-class player that gives us the confidence to try different things,” said Thiago Astro Stadium .

Thiago has felt the benefits of playing with Fabinho

“Because if we don’t make it, we know we have a man we can rely on.

“He will defend, he will be there for you and he is also a great player on the ball.”

For more than three years, Klopp has witnessed first-hand how excellent Fabinho is.

The 28-year-old player is one of the world-class midfielders currently active in Premier League.

Rodri and N’Golo Kante play equally effective roles for City of Manchester and Chelsea respectively, but Klopp is not interested in trying to pick his people as the best.

The German said: “He doesn’t need public praise, so all is well so he can lead a normal life.

“He’s an exceptional player, is he the best in the position? I don’t know, who cares.

“He’s a top, top, class player and that’s a long way off for the club and hopefully at the weekend.”

Fabinho’s quality is due to the fact that he filled in at centre-back last season as the Reds battled a defensive injury crisis.

Now, back in his preferred position, the former Monaco player is trying to assist Liverpool in regaining their Premier League crown.

The Merseyside team is chasing the champion Manchester City, but is very sought after.

Earlier this year, Fabinho stated that he believes he can continue to improve, establishing himself as one of the best.

“Liverpool is the best place for me,” he said at the start of the season. “They have a great team and one of the best managers in the world, the best conditions to play football.

“I think I can still improve. I feel important, I feel I am one of the best players in my position.

“I think if I’m in good condition for the rest of my career, I believe I can become the best player in my position. That’s what I’m going to try.”
