Tiger Woods announces return to golf at The Genesis Invitational next week

tiger forest announced Friday his return to golf at The Genesis Invitational next week, the tournament he hosts.
In a Twitter post, Woods said, “I’m ready to play a REAL PGA Tour event next week @thegenesisinv.”
The event will mark the 47-year-old’s first official match since Open Championship last July. Woods has competed in three pro tournaments in 2022 after a car crash in February 2021 just before the Genesis Invitational left the 15-time major champion with a serious leg injury, but this is a PGA event. His first tour since the ZOZO Championship in October 2020.
Woods participates in two other events in 2022, the PNC Championship with son Charlie And TNT’s match in December.
The Genesis Invitational takes place February 16-19 at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, California. Woods is the organizer of the tournament and the proceeds will go to his foundation.
