Tottenham Hotspur captain Harry Kane has offered a hint as to where his future may lie following reports that the player could be looking to leave the club.
Kane close to joining Pep Guardiola City of Manchester last season but the move didn’t materialize due to Daniel Levy’s refusal to lower the demands on his star.
He has been linked with a move to Manchester United this summer amid reports that Mauricio Pochettino is being tipped as the next permanent manager at Old Trafford.
And former Spurs and United striker Teddy Sheringham sent Kane a text as he was weighing up a potential move.
It comes after Dele Alli’s return to Tottenham was called “embarrassing” by former Spurs favorite Harry Redknapp.

Dele’s ‘shameful’ return
Harry Redknapp has said Dele Alli’s return to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is ’embarrassing’ as the midfielder’s new side Everton was beaten 5-0 on Monday night.
Michael Keane’s own own goal gave Spurs an early lead before Harry Kane scored twice and Son Heung-min and Sergio Reguilon also scored on Monday night Premier League meet.
The loss will be especially painful for Dele Alli, following the final day of his January transfer from Spurs to Frank Lampard’s side.
And former Spurs favorite Redknapp counted on the midfielder as he continued to struggle despite his move to the Goodison Park outfit.
Sheringham sent a message to Kane
Teddy Sheringham has offered his advice to Harry Kane ahead of a possible move out of north London this summer.
Former England international Sheringham famously changed Spurs to Manchester United, where he won the treble in his second season at the club.
And Sheringham believes Kane may have to follow suit if he wants to end his career with any of the winners’ medals.
The former United striker also suggested where Kane might be better off working hard on the trade.
Kane drops transfer suggestion
Harry Kane’s future at Tottenham Hotspur may depend on Antonio Conte staying at the club, the Spurs captain has suggested.
The Italian, who arrived in north London last November, has also been linked with the job of the manager that was vacant prior to Nuno Espirito Santo’s brief reign.
But it appears Kane has been impressed by his new manager after his arrival at the club, with the captain insisting he “really enjoyed working with him”.
And the striker has hinted that he could be persuaded to stay at the club if things continue to improve under Conte’s management.
