TVS Motor Company announced that it sold 307,954 units in March 2022, down slightly from 322,643 units sold in the same period a year ago.
In terms of overall two-wheeler sales, the company registered sales of 292,918 units in March 2022 compared to sales of 307,397 units sold in March 2021. Domestic two-wheeler sales stood at 196,956 units. in March 2022, a significant decrease from 202,155 units sold in March 2021. In the previous month, TVS sold 157,254 motorcycles, while scooter sales stood at 94,747 units.

The Hosur-based two-wheeler maker went on to add that a shortage of semiconductor supplies was the direct cause of production and sales problems last month. “We are cautiously optimistic that semiconductor supplies will improve in the coming months,” the company said in a recent press release.
In terms of exports, TVS registered sales of 109,724 units last month compared to sales of 119,382 units in the same period a year ago. The company exported 95,962 two-wheelers, a significant decrease from 105,242 units exported in March 2021.

Business situation in the fourth quarter of FY 2021-22:
TVS registered sales of 8.15,000 units in the previous quarter compared to 8.87 thousand units sold in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2020-21.
