ROME — Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, whose health is deteriorating, is in stable condition and can attend Mass in his room, the Vatican said Friday.
Vatican spokesman Matteo Bruni said in a statement: “Last night, the Pope Emeritus was able to rest well. “He also attended Mass in his room yesterday afternoon. Currently his condition is stable.”
