Zaaki wins All Star Mile 2022

The race is on… for a spot in the race.

That is All-Star Mile worth $5 million we are talking about!

Voting opened early this morning with racing enthusiasts from both Australia and New Zealand eligible to vote on their favorites… with the final tally deciding ten out of fifteen athletes will be on the final pitch for the 2023 All-Star Mile to be held in Moonee Valley on March 18.

Voting will close on Sunday, February 26 at 10pm with the leaderboard on display until 24 hours before the cut-off time, at which point it will be turned off during the final hours of voting.

To some relation of the seventy-eight horses nominated for the race, voting time will be attacked like a political campaign… solidifying bets, trying to rally those who are on their side but are lagging in ranking their votes… trying to win over the undecided… looking for long lost relatives and friends… to lobby, campaign lobbying, lobbying to get their runners across the line.

The top 10 of the day in terms of voting share will be announced by Racing Victoria on February 28.

In addition to the ten runners earning their stripes that way, the winners of two races ‘win and you’re in’ (Group 1 future shares on February 25th and Group 2 Stocks to blame races on March 4th) will qualify to face off against the starter for the All-Star Mile.

The remaining three runners will be decided by an All-Star Mile wildcard with the names of those runners to be announced on March 7.

Game on!
