World Cup T20: Update group 1 scoreboard after New Zealand vs Ireland and Australia vs Afghanistan matches

Australia raised hopes of reaching the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup after beating Afghanistan in Friday’s group stage final match at the Adelaide Oval. As things settle, New Zealand is at the top of the table with seven points from five games.

Sri Lanka was knocked out of the semi-finals, but could spoil the party for England. They have won four points from four matches so far.


Afghanistan, too, dropped out of the tournament without a single win and two losses.
