World of Warcraft Players will soon have one more way to earn mounts, toys, pets and cosmetics with the addition of the new Trading Points feature.
As detailed by Blizzard in a new Blog, two Trading Posts (one in Stormwind for Alliance and one in Orgrimmar for Horde) will be added to the game in the near future, there will be a rotating item collection for players to obtain using a new currency called Trader’s Tender. This currency can be earned in two ways. The first is to simply login once per month and claim 500 Trader’s Tenders for free from the Collector’s Cache located near each Trading Point.
Another way to get Trader’s Tender is to complete activities through the new Traveler’s Log system. Traveler’s Log contains a list of monthly challenges that the player can complete in various aspects of the game, such as PvP, content related to the game’s latest expansion, dungeons, and raids. sizing, holiday events, occupations, etc. Players will only be able to earn up to 500 Trader Tenders per month from the Traveler’s Diary, meaning there’s no reason to try and complete it. every possible challenge.
Blizzard notes that while the items available in the Trading Station will rotate on a monthly basis, the rotating items will not disappear permanently and will return in the coming months. Trading Points will also include items normally only available at the in-game cash shop or from special promotions that are no longer available, giving players another way to earn those items.
There’s no specific date on when players will be able to see Trading Posts appear in the game, but Blizzard notes that the new feature will be available for testing on WoW’s public test field soon.
WoW’s latest expansion, Dragonflight, was released recently and introduces major changes to systems like occupations and talents. In GameSpot’s WoW: Dragonflight review underway, we were impressed with “the way that a handful of new ideas, along with major changes to some old ones, breathe new life into Blizzard’s flagship game.” The first piece of Dragonflight content, including the new Vault of the Incarnates raid, is out this week.
