Match of the Night: Lashley Style vs.

AJ Styles & Bobby Lashley face off US Title for the first time | WWE on FOX

Bobby Lashley’s US championship came when he faced off against AJ Styles for the first time on Monday Night Raw.

WWE further enhanced the importance of the US title by hosting another competitive match for the title on Raw.

Like last week against Ciampa, Monday’s showdown between Lashley and AJ Styles was a heated one – and surprisingly a first-time encounter.

AJ roamed and sold like no other, Bobby impressed with his power-based attack, and both men kept the crowd on their toes. It was a very interesting 20-minute incident.

Later, Lashley regularly defended the title on Raw in competitive matches against worthy opponents which could have been great for the show.

They might even change the open challenge concept to pave the way for other competitors to take an interest.

Moment of the Night: McIntyre Brings Back Wrestling

“I don’t care if you’re an award-winning fighter, a sports entertainer or a superstar, we’re wrestlers in a wrestling ring. Let’s just keep wrestling the freak.”

This line by Drew McIntyre may be simple, but it’s huge.

It’s clear from the last few shows under Triple H’s direction that the new head of creative is looking to bring more pro wrestling back to WWE.

However, instead of just showing you, this week it was straight to the viewer. Plus, in that same segment, Kevin Owens breathed new life into his character by saying he’d be like his old badass all over again.

Things are moving in a positive direction for wrestling fans.
