Xbox controllers can now pipe TV input back to your console

You won’t have to grab the remote the next time you’re ready to return to your Xbox after your TV session. Microsoft is roll out one update allows you to press the Xbox button on the controller to turn the input into Line X or Line WILL. You can flip to cable while downloading knowing you only need to grab your controller when you’re ready to play.

This feature is dependent on the HDMI-CEC support of newer Xbox consoles. You can enable this feature through the “Sleep and startup” settings via the “TV and A/V power options” selection.

The concept isn’t entirely new, whether in consoles or HDMI-CEC devices in general though, it’s hard to complain as it can save you time sifting through menus. TV just to come back Halo Infinite.
