That can be helpful if you’re the type of person who, for example, likes to play a quick round Halo Infinite multiplayer or enjoy one Forza Horizon 5 race if you need a break after a Elden Ring Boss. Pin a few games to Quick Resume (by tapping the menu button when you check the game box) and it’ll be easier to jump between them.
Games you pin to the group will still be there unless you manually delete them or they have a required update. If you’ve already pinned two and want to add another, the control panel will ask which one you want to replace.
If you don’t tend to use the Share button often, you can get more use out of it if you change up its functionality. You can reassign another action to the button, such as mute the volume, open your friends list or achievements, or show the search menu. Microsoft says more action is available for Elite Series 2 Controllers, Xbox Adaptive Controllers, and other devices through the Xbox Accessories app. There’s also an Xbox controller firmware update, which should improve performance on Bluetooth-enabled Xbox One controllers, among other things.
Elsewhere, there’s a new audio setup wizard for Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. You’ll find it in the “volume and audio output” area of the general settings. It will help you find the optimal setting for your speaker setup.
